Smithy is a lurcher cross and is around 10 years of age. He came to us, as his previous owner passed away. Smithy has a few lumps and bumps on his underside which the vet has said are fatty lumps, as a result of this, we are looking for Smithy to go to a local foster home so that these can be monitored at the animal centre and would remain under the care of our local vet.

Smithy can be a little wary of meeting new people so introductions would be done slowly, at his pace. The home we are looking for would be adult only and with someone that would be with him for most of the day.

We are continuing to work with him meeting other dogs and getting familiar with other members of staff. Ongoing training and bonding time will be an essential part of his re homing.

Once he is familiar with a person, he is very sweet and playful and don't let his age fool you, he still loves zoomies and a mad half hour!
Smithy likes to play with soft toys and does best when he is with someone.
