Meet the stunning Scooby :)

Scooby arrived here with us when his previous owner neglected him :( This was such a sad time for Scooby, he was extremely underweight, had untreated wounds and he just couldn't understand why nobody loved him :'(

Thankfully, our wonderful Inspectorate team responded to his reports of distress and got him the hep he so desperately needed.

After he was strong enough to leave the hospital, Scooby arrived with us to start his road to recovery, and as you can see from his pictures, he has done just that!

Scooby is on the lookout for a retirement home where he can spend his days relaxing in the sun with his humans, going out on adventures because even though he is on the older side, Scooby is still young at heart and loves exploring just as much as the next dog.

Scooby isn't the biggest fan of other dogs in terms of face to face interactions but we have been working on him walking with other dogs and he is comfortable doing this providing he can have his own space, this may improve in time once he is away from a kennel environment and is feeling more relaxed.

Given his age, he will have the age related things to consider, even though he isn't showing any signs now, he may develop arthritis as he gets older. He has had some x-rays which showed very mild Spondylosis of his spine, again he is showing no clinical signs currently so it will just be something for his new parents to monitor but we can discuss this more when you come to meet him.

As Scooby was left to fend for himself, he needs a bit of help learning that it’s okay to be left alone but he is picking this up quickly.

Now cats, Scooby does not like cats... at all! He can ignore them out on walks, but he cannot live with one.
