Lucky is hoping that his lucky day will be just around the corner and that he will be the cat for you! Lucky (18 months) was taken in as a stray by his previous owner and finds himself here, after she sadly passed away. He has been finding cattery life a little overwhelming but is now making great progress and starting to reveal the sweet, affectionate boy hidden under the timid exterior.
When approached, Lucky is still a little unsure and retreats to a safe hiding space. However we have discovered that he has a real weakness for dreamies treats and this has definitely helped to gain his trust! Once he starts to relax Lucky is just desperate for fusses, pushing his head into your hand and flopping onto his side for strokes - purring (and drooling!) with contentment.
Lucky is now ready to find his new home and we are looking for an adopter who will offer him the compassion and patience he needs to further build his confidence. This is an unbelievably rewarding process and one which will forge a strong bond between Lucky and his new family.
Lucky is ideally looking for a peaceful home where any young people are aged 11+ and who will handle him gently. He would love a garden to explore once he's fully comfortable. He would prefer to be the only animal in the home. Could you be that special person for this special shy boy?

Thinking of adopting?
There's a lot to think about before taking on a pet. Read our rehoming page to find out more about adopting from the RSPCA.
Before being adopted all our cats are neutered, vaccinated and treated for fleas and worms. We also microchip them and, if requested, we can test for FIV and FeLV. So our adoption fee is great value for money if you consider how much all of the above would cost you.
