Pigglepops is looking for a home with one of his companions or a neutered female.
We do not know how much handling they have had and they are still very timid. They will still need a patient and experienced owner that will handle them gently and further their socialization with people.Pigglepops is the most timid of the group.
They are gaining confidence every day and will need positive interaction through toys and treats to gain their trust.
They love exploring and climbing in and out of their tunnels. What can We say they just are adorable.
There is no one perfect way to care for all guinea pigs because every guinea pig and every situation is different but you must take reasonable steps to ensure you meet all their requirements. Piggies are sociable, chatty creatures that in the wild live in huge colonies so it is essential that they are homed together. Their diets need to be supplemented with Vitamin C as they lack the enzyme needed to synthesise this vitamin.
They will need an area of at least 4ft by 2ft x 2ft, L x W x H, but like with all animals the bigger the better. They also need access to an exercise area, and do require ready access to lots of exercise enrichments such as pipes / tubing.Their bedding must be safe to eat ie dust free and they must have access to fruit tree /willow sticks to gnaw on.They would suit an older family who have previous experience and are looking to make a real difference to some piggies in need.
If you feel you could offer a suitable home, please get in touch with the centre via email.
