About Me

Breed: Crossbreed/Unknown
Colour: Brindle
Age: 6-12 Months
Ref: 266959

Tonks is approximately 9-10 months old and looking for her second chance!

Tonks was abandoned at only 6 months old, we don?t know much about her previous life but we do know that it hasn?t stopped her.

Tonks is an affectionate, attentive girl. She enjoys training sessions, long walks and using her brain. One of her favourite pastimes is to sniff out the food hidden in our wooded paddocks. If you have a garden, this could be replicated hiding a few tasty bits of food, or even around the house for her to find. We think she?d enjoy activities such as scent work, mantrailing, or even agility, something that will keep her active both physically and mentally. If you want a dog to help you keep active and get you out the house, Tonks may be the one for you.

After her exercise, Tonks is a snuggly girl who will seek out fuss from her handlers. Although we don?t know her history in the home, Tonks is likely going to need someone around most of the time at first to settle her in. Being such a young dog and going through so much change already, she likes to take advantage of the time she spends with people, even if that means settling nearby with a chew.

Tonks is looking for a home where she doesn?t see too many dogs and preferably has no noisy dog neighbours. She?s picking up her training quickly and is working on being calm around other dogs. This training will need to be continued in the home but you?ll get support from our team for this.

Tonks may be able to go home with calm children 14+ who have experience with bouncy breeds, but she won?t be rehomed with any other animals.

PLEASE NOTE - Our centre is appointment only, if you meet all of the above rehoming criteria, please complete this you can also find out more information about our adoption procedure

Due to a high volume of applications and emails we are unable to discuss the animals any further until we have received your completed application form.

We receive a large number of applications for each animal, if you have not heard within 7 days of submitting your application form you have been unsuccessful on this occasion, please keep a check on the website as this is updated daily.

Why I'm special

Tonks is a young girl and missing out on all the love and socialisation she deserves. She finds kennel life quite stressful and can't wait to be in a loving home.

My personality

  • I know how to sit (and lots of other commands too!)
  • I could live with children of secondary school age
  • I need teaching that it's ok to be alone
  • I need help learning to like other dogs
  • I'd prefer to be the only animal in a home
  • I'm a bright spark
  • I love food and treats
