Meet Calypo - our new resident who is now ready for adoption smashing all assessments. He was adopted from us 2 years ago, but his caregiver could no longer look after him due to a sudden change in his circumstances. Calypo was surrendered due to no fault of his own.
Calypo is a neutered male Japanese Akita who is approaching 7 years old. He settled in our kennels very well, snoozing a lot. Although he is a big dog he walks beautifully on a loose lead. Calypo is people and dog friendly with no underlying anxieties but prefers to be the only dog in the house. He is fully house trained, knows a lot of commands and is keen to even learn more for his favourite treats.
We're looking for a home with an experience in large breeds and understanding of needs of an older dog.
PLEASE NOTE - Our centre is appointment only, if you meet all of the above rehoming criteria, please complete this you can also find out more information about our adoption procedure
Due to a high volume of applications and emails we are unable to discuss the animals any further until we have received your completed application form.
We receive a large number of applications for each animal, if you have not heard within 7 days of submitting your application form you have been unsuccessful on this occasion, please keep a check on the website as this is updated daily.
