Meet Buzz! Our senior gentleman.

20 Year old Buzz is looking for a kind, calm, long term foster home, where he can feel safe, warm and loved.

He is the sweetest senior boy, who adores humans and fusses. Having experienced hardship, he now deserves a peaceful and safe haven to spend his twilight years.

Despite a willing mind that yearns to leap and play, 20-year-old Buzz's body lacks the grace to follow through, which can result in clumsiness, he does love to play but tires easily.

Yet, this seriously determined old boy's refusal to give up is truly something to admire.

Found after an estimated decade of extremely harsh living conditions outdoors, Buzz was emaciated, injured, nearly blind and deaf, severely matted, covered in faeces, and desperately weak with limited use of his back legs.

Thankfully, his vision has since improved, though it remains imperfect, his hearing is still minimal, his matted fur has been removed and he is now receiving ongoing care for arthritis and hyperthyroidism (requiring lifelong medication). He also requires prescription food (provided) for kidney disease, has undergone dental work, and his wounds have been stitched. Renal diet food will be supplied.

However, despite everything, he is not only just surviving, but thriving.

As Buzz will still be under the care of Goole RSPCA, all costs of veterinary treatment and medication will be provided, you just need to provide food, litter, treats and fuss.

Ideally, we need someone local to Goole/Howden, so he can attend regular vet appointments and blood checks. An experienced home with no other pets would be appropriate.

This is a chance to truly change a senior cat’s life….. you are never too old to find love. Subject to at least a perfect match form and successful virtual visit followed by virtual viewing before seeing Buzz in person, local homes prioritised.
