Marshmallow is a beautiful, timid white domestic shorthair cat, approximately 13 years old. He arrived at our care from a multi-cat household where he unfortunately received little to no socialisation. This lack of early interaction means Marshmallow is still learning to trust, but he is making wonderful progress.
Marshmallow thrives in quiet and calm environments and genuinely enjoys gentle, patient interactions. Due to his sensitive and timid nature, we believe he would be best suited to a home with individuals aged 16 and over. To help him settle in and avoid overwhelming him, an ideal setup would include a dedicated "safe room" initially. This personal space would allow him to gradually acclimate to his new surroundings at his own pace, before slowly being introduced to larger open areas of the home.
We have limited information about Marshmallow's past experiences with the outdoors. For his safety and well-being, he will need to remain strictly indoors until he has fully settled into his new home and formed a strong bond with his adopters. Once he is comfortable and confident in his indoor environment, a cautious and supervised introduction to the outside world can be considered.
Regarding other pets, with a very careful and gradual introduction, Marshmallow may be able to live with another cat. However, we firmly believe that a dog would be too much for his sensitive disposition and would likely cause him significant stress. We are seeking a loving and understanding home that can provide Marshmallow with the patience, quiet, and secure environment he needs to truly blossom.
