Flora, a 1 year old Springer Spaniel is looking for a calm and experienced home. Flora arrived into 快活影院care after being removed from a property with over 80 other dogs. Due to Flora?s previous history she is understandably quite wary and worried in certain situations.
Flora is a sensitive dog who needs a calm and patient approach, if not given time and patience to take things in her own time, she can become quite overwhelmed and worried. Flora is a very sweet and friendly dog with people once she knows them, she can however be nervous of new people on first meetings.
Flora gets on really well with other dogs, and gets a lot from being around them, due to this we are looking for a home for Flora with a confident robust dog or dogs. We feel this will help Flora massively with the transition into a home environment.
We are looking for a new home for Flora in a quiet, ideally rural area where she will have access to quieter walking locations. Flora has come on in leaps and bounds since her arrival at Felledge, but some things do still worry her, and her new owners will need to be aware of this and sensitive to her needs. Flora is currently learning that vehicles and travelling are nothing to be scared of, this training will need to be continued in her new home to help her to continue to build on this and become more comfortable with travelling.
Due to Flora?s nervous nature she will need multiple visits on site to help build her confidence with her adopters before she can transition into her new home. We are ideally looking for adopters for Flora who have had experience of the breed or similar breeds and she would be best suited to a quiet adult only household.
Flora is currently on a behaviour medication to help support her rehabilitation, she will need to continue this in her new home - we can discuss this with you in full detail upon enquiry.
