Anchovy is a six-year-old Siamese cat. He arrived at our centre quite timid, a reflection of his past experiences, but he has blossomed into a wonderfully sweet and affectionate companion once he feels secure and has built trust with those around him. His journey has shown us that beneath his initial shyness lies a heart full of love, waiting to be shared.
We believe Anchovy would thrive in a calm and understanding household. Given his initial reservations, he would be best suited to a home with secondary school-aged children who have prior experience with cats and understand the importance of giving a feline friend space and time to adjust. A quieter environment where he can slowly acclimate and build confidence would be ideal for him to truly flourish.
To help him settle in, Anchovy would need to remain indoors for a period. This allows him to fully familiarise himself with his new surroundings and feel completely safe within his new home. Once he has firmly established himself, we feel he would benefit from outdoor access. Therefore we are looking for a home in a area that is safe to explore.
