Ava - Crossbreed - 9 Years Old - Female
Meet the sweetheart that is Ava: a gentle, older lady who's on the lookout for the perfect home where she can make the most of some well-deserved, well-needed rest and relaxation time during her golden years. Ava quickly made an impression on staff here at the centre with her sweet and sassy personality, albeit a little stubborn at times! We found that this girly definitely doesn't let her age get in the way, and loves nothing more than a good run around our paddock or chasing her favourite toys in her compound. Ava's ideal home would be one where her mind and body can be kept busy as she's an active and intelligent girl, but should also be a home where she's able to make the most of a good afternoon snooze (something we've found is a particular favourite hobby of hers). We've found that Ava does enjoy meeting new people but doesn't always know how to introduce herself in the most polite way, and she does struggle with reactivity to other dogs when going out for walks. Because of this, we would advise that she is the only pet in the home, and we would recommend that she lives with children aged 16 years and above who can help to create a calm, stable environment where she can begin to become desensitised to the things that she's unsure of.
