About Me
Breed: | Domestic Shorthair crossbreed |
---|---|
Colour: | Ginger and white |
Age: | 4 Years (approx) |
Mr Puss is around 4 years old. He is a big, handsome boy looking for an indoor-only home, with no other cats, as he is FiV positive. FiV suppresses the cat immune system, making the cat potentially more prone to infection, but most cats with FiV live long, happy lives. It can’t be transmitted to people, but can infect other cats. More info on FiV can be found :
Mr Puss’s fosterer says this about him:
“Mr Puss may be a big boy, but he’s a baby at heart! He has lovely manners, with a single paw placed on your knee or shoulder to ask for something (usually your lap). And a warm lap is an absolute must – for tummy kneading, and for long, cosy naps. But he’s a total gentleman about it! All it takes is for his human to yawn/stretch, and he immediately gets up for you. He may steal your seat while you are gone, but he gets up for you when you return!
Mr Puss can have bad dreams. When he gets the body-shakes in his sleep, a stroke & some reassuring words stop it getting too bad and help him relax. Otherwise, he’s been known to jump himself awake & bump into things!
Some of his many character traits:
- Has a vocabulary of very dainty miaows – ‘mur-wowow’ for dinner time; or a sympathy-inducing pleading, ‘mew...mew…mew’, to be let through a shut door!
- Keeping his human company is a top priority – you need never be alone on the toilet again!
- Is a student of small, dark spaces & cupboards – he will ask for them to be opened – but has yet to find which one hides the food.
- An avid paper-ball footballer.
- Enjoys a bit of cat-grass, but generally leaves houseplants alone.
- A bit unnerved by knocking at the door or a ringing phone.
- Not too distressed by fireworks – he keeps a lookout in a high spot until it all calms down.
- Helps with cardboard recycling – he really enjoys getting his teeth into the physical breakdown process. “
Mr Puss needs a calm home with adults only or with older children. No other pets. To meet him, complete our
