About Me

Breed: Domestic Shorthair crossbreed
Colour: Tortieshell
Age: 7 Years (approx)
Ref: 374/24c

For the past six months, Toots has been healing—body and soul. She came into our care after being rescued from a heartbreaking multi-cat hoarding situation, where 30+ cats were crammed into one small home.

When she arrived, she was underweight, unwell, and shut down. But through gentle care, love, and medical treatment—including eye surgery (entropion) and support for stress-related overgrooming—Toots is now thriving in her foster home. She's currently doing really well on a treatment called Atopica, and we’ll support her future family in managing or tapering this with vet guidance.

Here's some words from her foster mum:

Toots is a friendly, affectionate cat with mountains of energy. She loves fusses and attention, but she knows her own mind so interactions have to be on her terms! You might persuade her to sit on a nice comfy cushion on your knees, but she much prefers to curl up next to you and enjoy your company, with regular glances at you and little meeps whenever she wants her ears scratched!

She is very intelligent, so is easily bored and will need plenty of mental stimulation. If she isn’t given enough appropriate outlets for her energy she’ll be sure to show off her mischievous side! But if you throw her ball for her a few times she will be your best friend. When Toots plays she looses all dignity and will throw herself into the air after a ball, skid around corners chasing a piece of string and sometimes run headlong into a wall!

Toots really has the sweetest personality and has had such a tough time while we were figuring out her medical issues. Now that she is feeling better she will be a lovely companion for the right person. All she needs now is her perfect forever home!
