About Me

Breed: Domestic Shorthair crossbreed
Colour: Dark brown
Age: 9 Years (approx)
Ref: 157/25c

Meet Poppy! An absolute delight of a cat.

Poppy was signed over into our care due to her owner being unable to cope. She had been quite shy in the cattery but given a bit of time and patience, she has totally come out of her shell and absolutely loves a lap and a fuss, she also is not shy of a dreamy or two!

She is clearly a cat that will absolutely love someone to give her a fuss often as she loves to headbump your arm, your hand, your head, everything! She also likes to strike a conversation as can be a chatty little thing too!

She has also lived with a cat before so we believe given enough space and gradual introductions, she could live with another cat.

Poppy will also love a garden to explore once settled into a home.

She did come in with some balding in which our vet believes she has a flea allergic dermatitis. All this means for longterm future is we would ask for adopters to keep her on top of and up to date with vet prescribed flea treatment to avoid any flea bites and further reactions! She is also at the greyzone for hyperthyroid and so our vet has recommended she has another T4 blood test in 3-6 months time meaning that she may end up being a cat that has to have medication for the condition BUT this is also something that may not happen, unfortunately it is something that is very common in cats as they get older.

Do not let that put you off though as she is an absolute beauty of a cat who will make a wonderful companion. She is microchipped, vaccinated, neutered, flea and wormed and all ready to go. Apply today! https://rspca-canterbury.org.uk/cat-adoption-form/
