Meet the gorgeous Gomez! Sadly he arrived into our care through no fault of his own, and having been with us for a while now he is seeking his forever home where he can be a wonderful companion for someone!

Gomez is a very affectionate boy and often stops on his walks to have a fuss with people. He can be a little anxious when meeting new people, but you can soon win him round with some treats and ear rubs! Here at our centre, he has shown excellent focus during his walks (walking lovely on the lead) offsite and onsite, and is always eager to engage with his person and take in the world around him. Gomez enjoys consistency and training; he has recall, but being a typical lurcher, off lead he decides he can't hear you if he has found something good to sniff! Most importantly, he loves having a blast off lead in our secure paddocks!

Going into a home environment Gomez might be anxious at first, therefore we are looking for an adopter that can work with him on settling into his new home and routine, and be around him the majority of the time to begin with. He's a good boy with other dogs, and we have been working on his socialisation - he's now walking with other dogs round the fields, and has even made friends with some girl dogs to play off lead with!

Gomez may be able to live in a home with children of secondary school age or above that are experienced with nervous dogs. Those enquiring for Gomez will need a secure garden space with 6ft fencing surrounding.
Previous rescue experience would also be desirable, but not necessary.
Most of all, Gomez is looking for an adopter willing to spend some time getting to know him so he can give all his love right back.
