Maria arrived at the centre back in February after welfare concerns led to her being removed from a home along with 30 other dogs. Now Maria is on the lookout for her forever home after being involved in lengthy court proceedings. This sweet girl has been through a lot in her life so will need adopters who understand that she needs extra time and love to help her settle into a home environment.

Maria has been doing really well since arriving, she has been improving with her basic training and the kennel team have been helping her remain calm when being out and about. Maria really loves her enrichment and being outside, keeping both her mind and body active which is something that is very important for her. When she first arrived she was a bit apprehensive of people but with some love and extra TLC she has become more confident but could still be a bit nervous upon first meeting her as a new person.

Due to Maria being a bit over excitable at times we feel that she would do better in an adult only home. She has shown to not be too bothered by other centre dogs, but would probably do better as the only dog in the house which will help give her time to settle into her soundings. Maria just really needs someone who understands what she has been through and that can offer her a safe loving environment.
