Bonnie arrived at the centre at the beginning of April after her owner had a change in circumstances. Bonnie is an older lady of 14 who lived mostly with one person so can be a bit nervous around new people but she is very quick to warm up to you and her loving nature comes out. She is still learning about the outside world and is gaining more confidence every day. Her personality has really shone through in recent weeks and the kennel staff all love her and can’t talk highly enough about her.

She loves having a little potter around the site and having some chin scratches. Bonnie is a really good walker and just enjoys being with her handler, then once she is back she will take herself off to bed with her toys. The type of home we are on the lookout for is somewhere she can have a calm and quiet retirement.

As she can still be a bit nervous we believe it would be better for Bonnie to have an adult only home where she is the only animal, this is so that she has the opportunity to settle effectively as she can get a bit nervous of loud noises and sometimes gets a bit frustrated with other dogs when out and about. Bonnie is just an overall sweet lovable older lady who wants a cosy bed and some people to spend the rest of her life with.
